    We want people to grow in their relationship with God and with people.  We want them to have a better understanding of their identity in Christ.  We want them to know they are secure and complete in Christ (Col 2.10).  We want them to know the hope of His calling, the glory of His inheritance, and the strength of His might (Eph 1.18). 
    We don’t need more ministries, we need more effective ministries.  We can have all the outreach programs in the world, but if they aren’t effective, what good are they?  We don’t need to do everything all the other churches are doing.  We need to be who God has called us to be, and do what God has called us to do.  We want to make sure what we do is in line with our purpose and our growth rate regulated by our effectiveness.  If we stop being effective in people’s lives, we don’t need to grow, we need to become more effective.  When we focus on being effective, growth will happen.
